Jaclyn Yee

Actor. Singer. Musician.

About

Jaclyn Yee (she/her) is a proud Chinese-American queer artist hailing from Detroit, MI.

Growing up in the buzzing music scene of the mitten, she was immersed in live music from a young age. And after building up the courage to sing at the local coffee shop's open mic at age nine, she became enamored with performing.

She is passionate about exploring Asian and queer stories with every bit of nuance they deserve. With emphasis in sharing queer and Asian joy, her work is fueled by the uplifting of these communities.

Alongside theatre, Jaclyn writes, records, and performs with her sister, Phoebe, in their acoustic duo: The Keynote Sisters. She is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, though she finds home on the keys and cajon. The Keynote Sisters' latest album, Temporary By Design, can be found on all streaming platforms now.

Jaclyn graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts in May 2025 with a BFA in Acting.
